Giant lump or is it an implant leak?...

Options

I just went to my Oncologist a week ago and he did an exam and felt nothing. Yesterday I noticed a giant bump on my reconstructed breast. It's bigger than a marble. I've had pain in that side for a year and onc wants me to see my PS. Now this squishy lump. I don't know what to do or what doctor to see. I need imaging for sure. Even if it is my implant, they have to do that. It's been 4 years since diagnosis. Any suggestions?

could be an oil cyst since it’s squishy. I had fat graft reconstructive surgery in March and over night literally a lump appeared. I ordinarily would have freaked out but had just scanned so we knew. It could be fat necrosis, oil cyst... regular cyst. My ps cut it right out of me local anesthetic.. I hope you’re well and good luck !

Definitely get imaging to examine it, but squishy is typically good news when it comes to a lump.

Well I have an appointment with MO on Thursday. He doesn't work on Wednesday's. I've never had fat grafting. They did say it could be fluid but the doctor has to see me before they can do imaging and be sure what we're looking at. My last scan was a year ago anyway, so it's about time. Just when you sorta relax about bc, there it is slapping you in the face

MO said it's just something funky with my implant. I have to see PS and see what needs to be done. So glad that's all it is!
