Best bra for uneven one year post RAD breasts
Hi,
Can anyone recommend an awesome bra for uneven breasts post radiation?
I finished RADS over a year ago and was going to have a reduction on the non cancer breast. However at my mammo they found suspicious calcs. I have since had the biopsy and surgery excision of what was id'das ALH in the breast I was going to have reduced. I actually asked the doc if I could have it reduced at the same time as the excision, but my insurance said no. Sono reduction surgery for now. 😢
I was a 38c in both breasts pre diag. Now I am about B in my radiated breast and I look pretty lopsided. Especially since it is summer and I want to wear my tank tops!
I honestly have been wearing genie bras since Rads, but I now want to buy bras like I used to wear. Do they exist? I have tried the half size ones and they just aren't for me. Maybe bc I have been wearing genie bras for so long.😀
Any recommendations for bras or inserts that will help me look more proportional? Oh...and that are comfy too!
Hugs

Do you have a breast surgery bra specialist in your area? They were very helpful in my post surgery bra search. I had straight to implant surgery and my two breasts aren't an exact match. The bras are a bit more expensive, but health insurance paid for some of the cost. The bras available to me were varied, from sports bras to slightly padded tshirt bras. The bra specialist was very professional. I look very natural in a tshirt.

Hi. Not sure how uneven you are but I was quite upset to see how asymetrical I was after lumpectomy. I wear the Spanx pillowcup bra which makes me look quite even in clothing. That's all I wear now.

I would love a recommendation as well! Used to be 34B. My new diep flap breast is much bigger and off to a weird angle because they want to see if and how much it will shrink after radiation. I'm still a long time away from even breasts (still doing chemo) and am feeling really awkward in my clothes. And without eyebrows. And with scraggly hair. haha Looking up the pillow cup now. Any others?
