Anyone still have pain in the treated breast months later? Not sure if it's scar tissue causing the pain as it's the whole breast. Finished radiation February 28th. Mentioned pain to the nurses before I seen my MO, but they didn't seem to concerned.

    Hi

I've developed breast pain over the last week, in my whole affected breast. I'm not sure if it's because I've been doing mostly upper body and abdomen and leg toning exercises for the last while. I couldn't do cardio due to an incessant cold and flu.

When I feel my breast the scar tissue is very sore, so I'm not sure if it is just being stretched.

I'm going to see my breast surgeon this week for it. It's causing me massive worry.

I finished 6 months of chemo and then 6 1/2 weeks of daily radiation on 1 December 2017.

    I'll let you know x

I'm three years out from active treatment and I still have pain. It's a weird mix of pain and numbness. The incision and large amount of scar tissue has never stopped being painful. Sometimes it hurts worse then others because of activity or lymphoedema. All my doctors say it's normal and probably not going to go away. I've learned to live with it it doesn't really bother me too much. I hope the pain goes away for you.

Lately I have been using a blend of essential oils on it for pain and one for scar tissue, the pain one seems to help a bit, but like you MeToo it seems worse on some days. Funny to be walking around stores not even realizing I am rubbing my boob. haha

Hi there!! Lumpectomy and lymphnoid biopsy in August of 2017. 5 weeks radiation. Started Tamoxifen in Jan 2018. Just had mammogram and all clear. Now experiencing pain here and there in underarms and breasts. Could it be from the Tamoxifen? Hormone levels changing

Yes, I can relate to this. I had a lumpectomy with no lymph node dissection and submitted to 20 radiation treatments. I felt pretty good after the radiation, save for superficial skin issues. But, in the last month of so, I feel pain at the site of the surgery, deep in my breast. This is new. I usually feel it more while exercising (doing push ups or chest press) but oddly, I never stopped exercising throughout any of my treatment so I don't understand why now and not before.... I did read that Tamoxifen can cause "tumor pain". Hmmm. Not sure if that applies to tumor site pain too.

I'm going through chemotherapy and during the first round , AC plus going through my second round , Taxol. I'm getting breast pain, like a squeeze inside the breast. I mentioned to oncologist and he said, chemo is working.

Is that the response anyone on this forum getting? Im not convinced.

    Adi

Adi - I would post this on the chemo board or maybe the Taxol board see what others have to say. This board is pretty quiet and you may not get an answer. xxx

Gigibee - try stretching - it helped with my tightness, the pain has definitely lessened only happening occasionally and I am thinking it's nerve pain.
