Anyone experience brown/pink discharge while on tamoxifen?

Hi all, I am 38 diagnosed bc last year, has been on tamoxifen around 9 months. Having periods regularly in past years.

Starting from July, I found that my hot flash become more serious, at the same time, have some brown or pink discharge between periods, that happen sometimes without certain pattern. its light and only found on toilet paper.

Anyone experience the same situation? I am thinking if I have to go gyn for biopsy in urgent....

    Hi Annhkg,

    I have a daily discharge of a yellowy colour and it stinks. (TMI) I would honestly make an appointment with your doctor to check it out for piece of mind.

    Tamoxifen can make everything irregular, I would imagine that includes spotting, and I have heard the side effects build over time. Probably worth a chat with your gyn for peace of mind. I too have increased discharge from tamoxifen. I mentioned it to my gyn and she seemed unconcerned. It's yellow though, but she didn't ask the color and I didn't mention it.

    Hi gb2115,

    I actually visit gyn once after I found the light spotting that around 1~2 times between periods, and he suggest biopsy if I want to do, but it seems he also don't concern so much about my situation as he didn't push me to do in urgent. It may be because I still have regular period with same length of days and volume.

    But I find light pink discharge again today, that's why I start to think about biopsy....

    After diagnosis of breast cancer, I become very sensitive to every changes in my body... just wondering if I am overanxious...

    Thanks for your sharing! Many of my bc friends also have increased yellow discharge after tamoxifen, it would be common side effect.
