Armidex and alcohol

Hi everyone, I have read the information with my prescription and it says that alcohol may cause gi problems in conjunction with hormone blockers. I had asked my oncologist about drinking with it and his answer was in moderation it's fine.

Well, moderate drinking according to google is one beer or one glass of wine! I usually drink nothing during the week but weekends usually like to have about 3 or 4 drinks in an evening. And it's football season, so for home games we will be tailgating with friends.

I'd like to hear how everyone continues to live their life while on this medication and hear if you stopped having any drinks or just do what you normally would do.

    I have been on anastrozole for one year now and when I’m in the mood I treat myself to a glass or two of wine. I feel like your doc said moderation and we still have to enjoy life.

    Occassionally I would drink and I was taking anastrozole without any concerns. The biggest thing for me is the sugar and calories so I try to drink water. I would enjoy yourself and not worry about the consumption as long as you don't over do it.

    My MO told me that I should limit myself to three drinks a week. I do stick to that most of the time. I do make an exception for vacation which is usually once a year.
