I went to a new Primary care physician yesterday who suggested I might benefit from an antidepressant to help with my anxiety. My concern is that all of the ones he suggested are supposed to counteract Tamoxifen from what i've read. Do you think I should be concerned that he doesn't seem aware of that or is it not common knowledge outside of the oncology community? I will call and ask my oncologist for sure in a few days but just wanted to see if any of y'all had an opinion. Thanks

I don't know about Tamoxifen but I have been on Arimidex for a year and my oncologist has no problem with me taking 50mg of Sertraline (Zoloft) every day. I would check with your oncologist again.

I took generic paxil with anastrozole and exemestane.

Certain anti-depressants should not be taken with tamoxifen
