Oh dear Patty, Hospice should definitely be able to provide you with whatever pain medication you need at home. Tell your sister to be a strong advocate and insist that they help you. There's no reason for you not to be where you want to be and be comfortable.
Try to enjoy your time with your boys. They are on an emotional roller coaster right there with you but you all can lean on each other for support. Let them do that for you.
You are on our prayer list at church and I'm praying all the time for your pain-free miracle.
Love you, girl

((Patty)) I agree, you shouldn't have to choose between being at home or being in pain. AR has in-home hospice. Is that an option for you? Hootie Hoo GF ♥♥♥

Peace and light be with you Patty.

Thinking of you , your strength, wit & all your other wonderful, unforgettable qualities has touch more people than you can ever imagine, for that I thank you. Rest well from Alberta Canada. XOXO
-
Patty, hoping that your sisters can help advocate for you.
Hospice philosophy is palliative care of a terminally ill patient's symptoms.
It is not to make a choice between being home or being in pain.
There should be a interdisciplinary team of professional providers and volunteers, who take a patient-directed approach to managing illness, including pain.
Maybe they need to have more nurse, aide, and volunteer hours taking care of you in your home.
Holding you tight, Madelyn

Patty, I’m not stage IV so don’t usually post here. Your spark and spirit have inspired me, and it looks like I’m far from the only one. Your sons have no doubt seen your bravery and strength in the face of adversity and it’s ok if they see fear too. I send prayers for less pain and hope the big blanket of well wishes from BCO keeps you war and peaceful

loving you Patty... everyday. Two words: sisters & friends.... much love ~M~

oh Patty it is so heartbreaking to know you need someone there to advocate for you. You should not be in emotional pain and your physical pain should be managed. I hate to even suggest this but couldn't not-so-dear ex-husband step in here. Surely he can't just coldly stand by while the mother of his children and the woman he loved and shared a life with for many years be in such pain and unable to control her life. If not for you then for your sons. He can't be blind to how this affecting them. We know he was a terrible husband but is he a terrible father too? Your sons deserve better
I wish I could be there to help. Sending you love and support.
-
Patty-thinking of you now. Praying for you to have some semblance of peace of mind and ultimate comfort. Sending love-MJH

Hi Patty, thinking of you constantly and praying that you have peace and comfort without pain. I agree with Animal Crackers - can't you call on your ex to help? She's right - he is the father of your two wonderful sons and I can't imagine he would not care about you.
You are so loved and surrounded by hugs from all 209,612+of us around the world.

Hoping that you get your pain under control and can spend some time with those you love. Peace and love to you and yours.
-
patty sending love and prayers for you and your sons. I agree with everyone let your love ones fight this battle. You need to conserve your energy for your time with the boys.
-
willl catch up later but mostly packed to move in hospice today. Even though my lol sis here medicating 1 per hour we can’t get on top of pain. Things changing quickly. Can’t live by myself. Standing without dizzy and falling or remember how to make tea pay bills. Everything is just more than I can do and the huge amounts of pain meds are not helping. Praying for quick death. Just FYI will update in a day or two when I can think straight
Hugs
I’ve researched that hospice house will be much better then
It sucks and just trying to do auto pilot for big stufff one foot in front of the oven. One day at a time.
-
patty, I don't know you but please feel my heartfelt hug. I am so sorry. Peace, love, and comfort for today and always
-
So sorry but it sounds like you've made the best decision. I can't believe the meds cannot get on top of the pain. My love and support are with you.
-
Good move, Patty. Hope the hospice house pros get your pain under control ASAP.
By your side,
Tina

Patty, my heart is breaking knowing that you are suffering💔. However, I do know that you are going to be with our Lord and that you will finally be at peace! Sometimes I think He waits until we are truly ready.
You have been, and still are, such an inspiration and comfort for so many, for so long, maybe it is time for you to just rest and let others do those things for you. You are a wonderful mother and your sons will have you in their heart forever! Rest sweet Patty, you are much loved and you will go on in all of our hearts!
Holding you close to my heart,
Claudia

Patty~ reading those words is like a nail to my soul. I love you my friend. I am holding you tight in spirit and loving you across the miles. You are mighty. You are brave. You are my two words : my sister. I love you Patty cake. So much ~M~ There just aren’t enough words to express how You are loved. Keeping the boys in thought. Always!
-
Patty, if by moving into the house, they can get the pain under control so you can just concentrate on your boys and your own needs; then it will be a very good thing to have done.
-
Holding you close with much love.
