I was just diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Carcinoma moderately differentiated. I can't find out what Moderately Differentiated means.

Do any of you know?

    Dear TLMorris,

Welcome to the BCO community. We are sorry that your new Breast Cancer Diagnosis brought you here but glad that you reached out to our members for support. While you are waiting for some others to offer suggestions you may want to download BCO's information pamphlet on Understanding your Pathology Report. I covers the differences in cell grade and explains differentiation of cells. Please stay connected here and keep us posted on what you learn as you proceed. Let us know if there is anything we can do to support you along the way. The MOds

tlmorris - “moderately differentiated” is usually a reference to grade, and describes grade 2. Here is a link from this website that explains grade in more detail which is one aspect of your pathology. Thelink from the moderators above has a thorough review of all of the aspects that help your oncology team determine the most effective course of treatment.
