Anyone with a poor response to neoad herc/perjeta?

Hey Ladies,

Is there anyone out there who had a poor response to neoadjuvant herceptin/perjeta/Chemo but is doing ok now?

Apparently I’m in that wonderful minority that didn’t seem to respond at all to the treatments. At the time of surgery my tumor was the same size as we started with, and I had two nodes full of cancer. From what I’ve read (bad idea), the fact that I didn’t respond well to the therapy makes my long-term survival odds way worse. I guess I’m just looking for some real life examples of ladies who are doing ok after being in a similar situation. Thanks for listening. <3

    I'm so sorry to hear this. As hard as it is, try not to read too much negativity online.

    There are a number of people here who had advanced cancer at diagnosis and did not respond well to treatment but are doing absolutely great now (check out lkc on these boards...she is 13 years out from a Stage 3C diagnosis with a poor response to treatment and is "living large").

    There is every reason to believe you will be just fine!
