Where was your cancer located and was there pain?
I’ve been a constant worrying basket case lately. I have a deep, localized pain in my right breast that I’ve had for a month now. Only pain when pressed. I can’t find any lump and the pain is quite high up on my breast (upper/inner about 1oclock). I know I need to not get ahead of myself but it’s hard not to start trying to figure it all out. My appointment isn’t until next Tuesday and that’s only for the referral to get a mammo. Too much time to sit around and wonder what I’ve got. I feel like this is too high to be any sort of duct problem, correct? the pain is like 3 inches up from the top of my areola so I’m guessing it’s more of an issue in the lobes if it’s anything? So I am just curious what some of the symptoms were for those of you with LCIS or ILC.
Thank you so much

LCIS is not considered cancer and it is almost always an incidental finding on a biopsy. Most of us had no symptoms whatsoever

lcis = 0 symptoms. Almost always takes a biopsy with tissue examination to detect it. You are doing the right thing by getting a mammo. In general, pain is not associated with breast cancer until the advanced stages, unless there are visible inflammatory symptoms.
Hang in there until Tues.

Hi,
mine was left side outer quadrant at 2o'clock and I kept having this pain from that area to the shoulder/armpit. it hurt like I had worked out when I didn't. I felt the pain mostly when I was going to sleep or resting without me touching. I also had a big lump so .....Given my lymph nodes involvement it makes sense that the pain was there.
Hope that your is only a nerve issue and wishing for benign results.
Good luck.

Lolis, she was asking about LCIS as the sole diagnosis

I had zero pain.

I asked for LCIS as well as ILC.
I only ask because the pain is with no lump and it’s quite high, away from the nipple and armpit Upper inner. So far away that I wonder if it has anything to do with the ducts themselves which is why I was curious about other breast cancers and locations they were found in. I’m not even sure if location matters at all but again that’s why I asked
Thank you ladies for responding.

You posted in the LCIS forum
Erin, I thought your pain was from whacking yourself in the breast with the vacuum cleaner cord.
