What does a swollen lymph node feel like?

I'm just wondering because I've had an area in my underarm that has felt odd for a few months. It's sausage shaped and feels like a rolled up skinnysausage of play-doh. About an inch long

It hasn't changed since since I noticed it in April. My GP said it feels like scar tissue under the skin, but it be not had an injury there.

It is high up at the 11o' clock position in the armpit, right where the hair stops.


Does this sound like a lymph node?

    It could be many things, benign or otherwise. Since its still there and you don't know what it is, I suggest you let your GP know. "Feels like scar tissue" is not a real diagnosis. Ultrasound would be a good starting point.

    They're not expensive and good an diagnostic evidence for things like that. If its still bothering you amd you are concerned you have a right for your doctor to investigate further

    If GP wont order, I would call your oncologist or gyno.
