Ultrasound results show BI-RADS 4...am I at risk?

I'm 20 years old, went in for an ultrasound on 7/5 for a highly mobile, painless, rubbery lump under my nipple that measures 4cm. I was seen by a radiologist, a tech, and a breast surgeon who all told me it was almost definitely a fibroadenoma because of my age and the characteristics of the lump but they still set me up with a biopsy appointment just in case. I had the biopsy last friday and the wait for the test results was stressing me out so much that I caved and googled my symptoms...which stressed me out even more.

Today I did something incredibly stupid. I received an email from the hospital saying that I'm eligible for a MyChart account, in which I could see test results “days before the radiology department would call me". I anxiously signed up for it and lo and behold, my biopsy results have not been posted yet, but my ultrasound report from 7/5 has. It reads:

Real-time ultrasound of the right breast was performed.
The patient presents with a lump within the right breast 12:00, retroareolar region. Targeted ultrasound was performed at patient's site of palpable concern. The area of concern was scanned by myself and the technologist.

There is a well circumscribed hypoechoic mass within the right breast 12:00, retroareolar region, measuring at least 4.0 cm that corresponds to patient's lump. This likely represents a fibroadenoma. Recommend ultrasound guided biopsy.

IMPRESSION: SUSPICIOUS OF MALIGNANCY
Recommend ultrasound guided biopsy of right 12:00 mass.

Letter Sent: Birad 4

Ultrasound BI-RADS: 4 Suspicious abnormality

After reading this I went even further down the rabbit hole and googled BI- RADS 4...you see where I'm going with this.

I have yet to receive my biopsy results and now I'm more anxious than ever. To my knowledge BI-RADS 4 means likely to be malignant? But the first part of my report says this is likely a fibroadenoma so I'm confused. How can they keep reassuring me that it's nothing but then put frightening stuff like this in my report?

Anyone here have more knowledge on the topic?

No, Bi-Rads 4 are 80-90% chance of being BENIGN, not malignant

I just had my biopsy on July 17th and I also had a BI-RAD 4, my ultra sound said about the same as yours. My results were benign.

Well, your age is greatly in your favor. Breast cancer is EXTREMELY rare in 20 year olds, around 0.05% risk. As Melissadallas said, BIRADs4 is about 80-90% benign. Your mass is described as "probable fibroadenoma", which is benign. If your doctors really thought this was cancer, they would be falling all over themselves to get you treated.

I agree with Oxygen18, no one on here is qualified to give you any medical advice, based on their own observations or not. You have to work with your doctor, about your case. At your age, especially, your doctors and their nurses are the ones to provide you information. The average age for breast cancer is 57, and you are 20.
