Hi everyone,

My name is Ruth and I am 26 years of age.

I recently went to my doctor after discovering a lump in my right breast. After examination She has referred me to the hospital for a breast check/ mammogram. She has told me I should receive my appointment in September. Two weeks later I have discovered a small , tender lump under my right arm pit. Should I go back to see my doctor ? Has anyone had a similar experience? I’m a little bit worried after discovering this.

Any help would be so appreciated,

Thanks

Hi Ruth! We know it can be a worrisome thing to go through :( The good thing is, the vast majority of breast lumps are benign! It's so good that you're being proactive about getting it checked out, and we would certainly recommend giving your doctor a call and letting them know about the second lump. If they can get you in sooner, so you can have some peace of mind, it's worth the call.
