    This song is called Praise You in this Storm by Casting Crowns. This bridge is from Psalm 121:1-3. It is a song to call us to hold strong to our faith and praise God even through our toughest trials.

    Foots, I remembered your prayer of listening for the whisper of the Lord with the lyrics : As the thunder rolls, I barely hear Your whisper through the rain, "I'm with you."💕

    Simple Song from Leonard Bernstein's Mass

    Last night, I couldn't sleep. I tried to think of beautiful songs to listen to calm me. Over 20 years ago, I went to a friend's vocal recital. She had a beautiful soprano voice. She sang a song I have never forgotten: Simple Song from Leonard Bernstein's Mass. I realized last night that there is Psalm 121:1-3 in it as well, as is in Casting Crowns Praise You in this Storm from the previous post.

    Also, this morning, I was looking at scriptures pertaining to heaven. I read in Revelations:

    I remembered the lyrics in this song, "And the sun will not smite me by day, nor the moon by night". This is also Psalm 121:6.

    I hope you enjoy this. This version is more contemporary, and there are more classically styled gorgeous perfomances of this as well. May it give you peace.🌹🙏

    Every year in September, Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom dedicates a night for Contemporary Christian Artists to come sing on the stage in front of Cinderella's Castle. The event is called, "Night of Joy".

    MercyMe has played there many years for this event. I love one of their songs, Dear Younger Me, especially the story behind it. There is a live performance of it, from Night of Joy 2015, where Bart Millard really gives an emotional, raw testimony of what it was about (the phone footage is too rough to post.)

    He talks about the severe childhood abuse he suffered at the hands of his father. His father died of cancer, but before he did, he became a new creation in Christ.

    Bart said it is advice he would have given to himself if he could have given it to his eight year old self. It brought up feelings of guilt and shame, the emotions children suffer when they are being blamed by manipulative, abusive parents for the abuse the child is suffering.

    If anything he could have said to himself, it is this: It is not your fault. You are holy, righteous, and redeemed.

    We want healing. We want God to answer our prayers. We want Him to give us the desires of our hearts. We want to live, and not die. We want His blessings. We want Him to rescue us out of dire circumstances.

    He wants us to:

    No matter what, God gave His most precious gift to mankind: Salvation through Jesus Christ. He suffered greatly, reduced himself in obedience to the Father, was crucified, died, and fulfilled His destiny as the resurrected glorified Messiah, our Lord and Savior, who is also called Yahweh.

    He is also called the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings. The inscription on His cross said, "King of the Jews" in 3 languages. The Pharisees, the high priests of the Jewish people, wanted it changed to: "He says he is King of the Jews". Pontius Pilate replied, "What I have written, I have written". John 19:22 He is the Messiah the Jewish people were promised and prophesied about long before in Psalms, by Moses, and the Prophets. He is Yahweh.

    So what was written as mockery on His cross was the truth. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. John 14:6

    I heard this song in my early 20's, and the beauty and power in Sandi Patty's voice, as well as the bittersweet angst and the glory in the lyrics and music has never left me.

    Via Dolorosa means "The Way of Sorrow" in Latin. It is a road in the ancient city of Jerusalem that is believed to be the path that Jesus walked carrying His cross to His crucifixion.

    May you know how much He loves you. He died to give you eternal life in Paradise. He will meet You where you are at. Come as you are to Him and invite Him into your heart. Just repent and live in His ways. Everything is temporary here on Earth. Salvation is eternal. It is everlasting. God bless you all.❤️🙏😊

    This beautiful hymn made famous by Josh Groban shows how we are uplifted by God in our days of weariness, how by faith we walk on stormy seas, and by grace we are lifted so we can stand on mountains.

    This version by Celtic Woman is extraordinary.

    “Come thou fount" has always been my favorite hymn. But as far as music that touches my heart lately it's been “Behold" by Hillsong “It is Well" by Kristen Dimarco and “Reckless love" by Cory Asbury. These songs are just a reminder of Gods great, great love for me. When things are hard and you're trying to make sense of it there's one thing I like to hold onto and that is that the Lord loves me more than anything. I may not understand why things happen but I know he's working in me always, through the good AND the bad.
