On thursday while showering I found that when my left nipple was squeezed blood came out. I started to panic. I thoroughly examined myself and found no signs of a lump. Called the dr and they got me in with the nurse practitioner on Friday. She did an exam and was able to squeeze out some of the blood also. She took some swabs off it and were checking it for infection (those test should be back monday) and also for abnormalities (those should take a week). She also gave me a number for the hospital and said to call on monday to get in for imaging. I don't know what to think. One minute I've convinced myself I'm fine and the next I think I have cancer. I'm 37 years old had zero breast pain before my exam, although I am sore on that side today but hoping it's just from the exam. It doesn't discharge on its own but anytime I squeeze the nipple a small amount will come out. It's bright red, same color as you would get if you pricked your finger. I know there are no answers here but I'm having a hard time and don't want to talk to any family because I don't want to worry them unless it is necessary
