Benign breast lump removal issue & questions

hello all. I am a little over 2 weeks post op. I had a lump removed from my breast. My breast surgeon left the country due to an emergency and my post op appointment isn't for another week. I have not had issues or pain since surgery. However, today my breast where the lump used to be is very hard. Feels like a lump double the size is there. Is this normal or should I see a dr? Also, I have internal stitches and had glue over the incision. It's basically all peeled off now. When is it safe for me to start applying scar cream?

Thanks for any insight!

It sounds like you may have a seroma in there, a pocket of collected fluid. They are quite common after breast surgeries. Sometimes you can even feel and hear it sloshing around in there.

At this point you don't need to do anything. Seromas are aggravating, but benign. If it turns red, swollen, or painful get it checked for infection. Wait on the acar cream yntil you see the dictir.
