seems to get better if I rub it. It almost disappears. Then it is back. No breast changes. Shooting pain if nipple is pressed. 50 year old. Going for sonó soon. No sores or irritation. Has been going on for weeks.

Funny thing I just tried to “massage” my tender area as well to see if the pain would subside and it did. How odd. I had to press pretty hard and just massage in circles and I could feel the pain subsiding. I’ll have to wait and see how long it takes for the pain to return.

I know you said your pain is at your nipple. Does it feel more on the surface or right under the skin or does the pain feel deeper?

I can’t wait to get some answers! Ugh

it’s right under the skin. Sometimes something brushes the nipple and it is shooting pain but doesn’t last long. Wonder if it is nerves

could it be an infection? Any discharge or warmth?

I recently had my mammogram annual check and I then a 2nd ultrasound was done because of the nipple pain I have. There are calcifications and a cyst right there. No cancer, just "normal" for my fibrocystic self.

So that's what it was. Hmm. In my case, the cancer didn't hurt at all. Cysts near the nipple do.

No action is being taken about the nipple pain. I guess I will suck it up for awhile. 🤔
