I did have a radial scar and ADH, but I had mine removed about 5 weeks ago.

I just had adh removed yesterday from my left breast. I would rather have it removed than constantly worrying if it will turn into cancer. How do I add my information on the bottom of my posts like I see everyone doing?? TIA

I had a radial scar with ADH removed and I don't know how to add it on the bottom. When I was going to fill out the form it was asking me when were you diagnosed with cancer...?
The thought of ADH has given me a lot of anxiety for the past few months. I know that the future risk of bc has gone up due to having this.

I was just diagnosed with ADH. Can you tell me what type of surgery they do, and the down time I should expect? I don’t meet with the breast surgeon until the 24th of August

I'm having lumpectomy for my ADH tomorrow. My doctor said pain, down time etc. will differ from person to person. Yes, not much concrete info, but will share my experience after my surgery.

Hi,
I had my lumpectomy for ADH and my recovery is going well. The surgery was in the morning so I rested pretty much after it that day. The next day I was feeling better and had mild pain. Just wanted to share thinking this info might help others going thru the same

Futura,
Did your BS recommend Tamoxifen x 5 yrs for ADH? I’m getting second opinion as BS not Breast Oncologist. I will share tomorrow for others dealing with this. ‘No you don’t have cancer but...’ I’m afraid not to take Tam and afraid to take Tam. Plus BS said would only get mamm every year with MRI vs every 6 months?

I have ALH, diagnosed 2/17. Had a lumpectomy with no issues. My BS and oncologist discussed tamoxifin and increased monitoring-mammo/MRI every 6 months. I also see my BS and oncologist every six months for examine in addition to my yearly gyn. At my last check up with my oncologist, I had lots of questions about T and ifmaybe should be taking it. She reiterated that she felt comfortable with no T and increased monitoring since I have no other risk factors.

Hi .. I was recently diagnosed with a papilloma with ADH (after some frustrating dx issues) .. did have a lumpectomy .. that went pretty well .. easy recovery .. then off to an oncologist .. he was fantastic .. lots of education and discussed my choices .. do nothing and have MRI annually alternating with 3D mamo .. or consider chemo prevention .. he gave me 3 weeks to research the good and bad and then make a decision .. we have decided to try Aromasin (Exemestane) an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) rather than Tamoxifen .. tho it is not off the table .. will depend on how I tolerate this .. I started last week .. and so far no problems .. I go back in 5 weeks to see him for further follow up .. and am scheduled for an MRI in December
Have to admit that this whole process has been anxiety producing .. most days are ok .. but sometimes it takes over for a couple days

Hi Kimc,
BS surgeon mentioned tamoxifen but referred to a high risk specialist. I have an appt scheduled for early oct.
BS talked to me about my lumpectomy, path results and my risk %s.
Did you get a 2nd opinion?
Hope this helps
