Hello, I had my mastectomy in April, 2017 followed by immediate reconstruction with my own tissue. Yesterday I was experiencing some pain in my reconstructed breast. When I looked at it I noticed this spot. It kind of looks like a scarred over bug bite that some scratched a lot. My first though was oh no a reoccurence in the skin tissue. I am going to call my doctor first thing in the morning to be seen. But until then has anyone seen something like this before?

    Wise to get it checked...my sister has had a lot of weird occurrences in her reconstructed breasts, but it has not been a recurrence.

    I just had fat grafting done as well, sometimes when it settles eapecially around scar tissue. It could be a cyst or fat necrosis.. how big is it. ? Also my plastic surgeon told me that cancer only goes to places with a good blood supply. Scars usually are dead cells. Good luck. I'm getting one cut out on July 30! Hugs~M~

    What did your doc have to say? Glad you're getting it checked. Hoping it is juyst a sking irritatino or a local infection.

    Thank you everyone for your replies. I called and they didn't seem concerned at all. I have an appointment with them in September so they will just follow up then unless things get worse or I am still concerned then they want me to call back.
