Newly diagnosed, RC surgeon suggest airTissue expanders?

I'm new here and was wondering if anyone has had the aeroform tissue expanders? I saw the oncoplastic surgeon today for consult, he and his nurse explained how they work, but was wondering if anyone had actually had them? Any info positive or negative, I'd like to hear!

    Hi Palsomine:)

    I am having BMX with aeroform tissue expanders in September. My PS uses them quite a bit. I have talked to two ladies that used the system and both had good things to say about it. Both said that they didn’t have any discomfort from fills because they are much smaller and more frequent with the compressed air. I am happy to use them as I live 3 hours away from my PS...so much easier for me to not have to attend his office for fills. If you search some of the Australian forums there are some good discussions about it. I will find the link for you

    Hi Wink22 Please do keep us updated with how your procedure goes. I have an appointment with my plastic surgeon on Thursday in a public hospital .Initially I was keen on DIEP but now I am happy with implants .I just want to be done with this procedure and come home fast to take care of my family .I guess I have the choice of DIEP later on if I want to .
