Confused about nipple reconstruction... please help!!!
Hi , ladies, need some help deciding ... I had left breast nipple sparing mastectomy and both breasts implants . Apparently after surgery pathology report showed micro cancer cells in my saved nipple. I have to remove a left only nipple. Right nipple is good , there was no tumor.
P S said we can remove nipple and make a new one later one.
My other option that wasn’t offered by PS comes from me- remove both nipple and do 3-d tattoo, I don’t even know who does tattoos here in the north shore off Boston. So I don’t know should I remove nipple now- but I m 41, should I buy artificial nipple for now?
I didn’t like how my consult with PS went on , I had little time discussing my reconstruction options and had to call in the office because nobody had no idea what I’m doing either recon or just cutting a nipple.
Apparently I was told that I will have removal of nipple and reconstruction can be done later.
I don’t know if I want to go different procedures . I have to go for my treatment that will be determined soon.
What do you recommend tattooing or nipple recon, thank you very much

You will find many approaches, - mine were done using skin graft from upper thigh, along panty line. Recoup time not as easy as tattoos but the results are amazing. You'd never, ever know they were reconstructed nipples! Find an experienced ps for this procedure!!
Good luck with your decision!

Nipple reconstruction when done perfectly provides good results, but does have it's issues.
It's a complex procedure that is quite costly and I haven't seen many that look as natural as a 3D tattoo done professionally.
Now I understand that in your post you mentioned that it was only an issue with one of your breasts, so the bigger question is "Are you willing to have a 3D tattoo on only one of your breasts, with the other maintaining the actual protrusion property. One of the unknown benefits of 3D nipple tattoos are that women can actually wear things like T shirts without a bra and never have to worry about their nipples popping out or through the shirt. Feel free to check out the website Divasbodyart.com to learn more about the procedure and the results that can be achieved. We will even offer you a free tattoo or service if you can get yourself to Florida, we offer it to many women as a way of giving back to the community and supporting women. We truly wish you all the best..........

Divasbodyart, thsnk you for the respond!!! Yes, I have one nipple to be removed, so plastic surgeon offered nipple reconstruction, and I want minimize the invasion!!! Thank you so much for offering your service❤️❤️❤️ , that’s is very nice of you!!I live in Massachusetts . I think less invasive would be recon, probably if I my both nipple would gone I would use the tattoo method!!! God bless you!!
