Excision biopsy
Anyone has experience in excision all biopsy? I'm so tired of doing the tests and scare too.
The hospital said they have to plant a seed. What is it? What's the procedure like planting the seed
Then I have the surgery is august. They said they will use general anesthesia. They said it is a small surgery I will be fine on the next day. I don't like getting put to sleep I don't like the feeling of not waking up. Is it really painful after? Does it change the shape of my breast or leave scar? I heard it is more invasive and I don't know what to think about the procedure

Hi fishfish. I had excisional biopsy. I did not have seed placement, but I had wire placement to guide the Surgeon to the suspicious tissue.
There was an injection of local anesthetic; then there was an injection of colorant into the suspicious tissue; then a thin wire guide was placed; then I had mammographic imaging to make sure of correct placement of the wire guide. This was all done just shortly before my biopsy surgery.
Here is an item that will tell you about the seed placement procedure__

It may be. It may not be.
You will likely have some swelling for the near term as the biopsy site heals. Whether it would make any lasting appreciable change in the shape of your breast would likely depend on factors such as the location and volume of the tissue to be excised.
Yes, you will have a scar at the incision site. It may be inconspicuously located, if that would be feasible. You may be advised to wear very firmly supportive bras at all times during your healing -- except when your are cleaning that area -- to help keep the weight and motion of your breast from stressing the seam at your incision site.

My sister and i had lumpectomies (basically, excisionsl biopsies for known cancers.) They're done pretty much the same way. Sis can't even find her scar, its so small. Her breast looks exactly the same as before. My lump was much bigger than hers, so i had a bigger scar. My BS was careful to make it in the fold of my axilla, so it isn't easy to see. It did not change the shape of my breast. I had pain for a couple days, nothing debilitating. I was very fatigued for several days after my LX, prolly a combination of anesthesia and healing. Sis went right back to work and never missed a beat.

Do I need to stay in the hospital for couples of hour after the sugery? They told me is a day surgery and a small one. I have to go to a work where I might have to lift little kids so I really hope for a fast recovery

I had my tumor removed almost 2 weeks ago. You won't be able to work that day, and I would also take off the day after if you work with kids. I was in the hospital from about 7am-3pm. Registration, vitals & IV, wire localization, mammo, surgery, recovery, home
I had almost no pain after surgery-now. A few moments of discomfort the 2nd - 3rd day. I took 1 pain pill when they prescribed 30.
I have a scar around my nipple that is still healing. My breast looks the same minus the scar. It doesn’t look very pretty now but I’m still in the beginning stages of healing
