Possible IBC? Waiting for an Appointment!

Hi there! About a month ago my left breast started itching. I live in NM so just put it off due to being hot here and dry. I've applied lotion and hydrocodone cream but neither helps. Three days ago I developed a rash and the itch is more intense at times. I also have some tenderness underneath and between my armpit and breast. Several times a day my breast will feel heavy and tingle. My breast doesn't look any bigger then the other one and I don't have the orange peel look that I've seen posted. Has anyone had similar symptoms to me without the others?

I just moved back to NM at the end of June so haven't established a PCP and have been running into a wall trying to establish one without having to wait a month. I'm 35 with 4 kids and am a bit worried. I'm waiting for a breast center to call me back this afternoon(they are verifying my insurance) to make an appointment.

    There are many things that could cause these symptoms, but we are glad to hear you are getting it checked out. We truly hope it is all temporary and benign.

    Thank you so much! I'm just ready to know what it is and to see if I can get some relief for this itching. I have an appointment scheduled for Monday at 8 AM. She tried really hard to get me in this week but we just couldn't make it work with their schedule and mine :(

    There was a cancellation so I was seen this morning and they did a biopsy right away. Now I just have to wait for the results.

    Neishab,

    I have similar symptoms (purple spots on my left breast x6 wks). Saw my PCD yesterday. She felt there was enough concern for IBC that she sent me strainght to an oncologist, whom I see on Tues July 31st. And I have a consultation with a surgeon for a biopsy.

    How did your July 19th appt go?
