Weird fatty cleavage left after surgery

I thought I'd be flat after mastectomy surgery but the surgeon left me with "mini stick out boobs" in the middle. She said it must be fat and I should see a plastic surgeon. Has anyone had this before? Can it be lipo-suctioned out? It looks ridiculous.

yes, it happens. Sounds like he left the fatty tissue in your breast (which is considered acceptable). General surgeons should be able to give a good result but they’re not paid to do that and it would mean they couldn’t perform as many surgeries and they wouldn’t get their full bonus/meet their procedure quota/make as much $$$ so they don’t and tell you to find a PS. I’m sorry for the rant tone but it makes me mad on your behalf and all the others it happens to. I hope you’re able to find a good PS. I hear a lot of women who are 100% positive that they’re staying flat do a reverse tummy tuck to smooth everything out across the chest very nicely. Something to ask about

I also have some fat ridges left over after my double mastectomy (in Australia) but I was warned in advance that that would happen. Some surgeons don't like to take all the fatty tissue that has no breast tissue in it and they think it looks better but they should give you a choice. I have mixed feelings about it too but it doesn't look too bad on me. I'm sure it could be revised by surgery if that's what you want to do.

Thank you. Hard to figure out if it's fat or swollen at this time (2 weeks after)

Deamo1, most likely there is still some swelling and things will still flatten out a bit for you.

I think you are right. One side is going down already. Sure hope so! Thank you
