How many more test do I need
I already have 2 mammograms, 2 ultrasounds, one biospy and one mri. The doctors potentially need me to do another core needle biopsy that has nothing to do with my fibroademoma that was diagnose based on my first core needle biospy. I still have no diagnosis, no answer no solutions. I feel very frustrating right now. I don't know how many more tests do I still need to do. Does anyone at this forum also have this experience? Right now I'm not worry about cancer I worry about mental health. I had moderate depression two years ago and also anxiety. I really don't want these tests trigger my mental health problems. I don't know if all these tests are worth it anymore

Hi there. If I am remembering correctly, so far you have only a diagnosis of fibroids and you are 29, right? Why are the doctors saying you need another biopsy?
-
They had already told her a while back that after MRI they might want to do excisional biopsy, and now they do
-
Geogia1, yes I'm that person. I don't understand why they need me to do another biopsy. The hospital says they now want to do biospy on the other side of the breast. They want me to come in tomorrow. There is a really poor communication between the hospital and the outreach office that follow my case. I don't get the mri result until this Thursday from the outreach. I have no idea what's the result and I have no idea where they want to do the biospy this time.
MelissaDallas, my doctor did mentioned the mri can determine if i need sugerical biospy on my fibroademoma on the right side (the same one where I had my first core needle biospy) but now they said they want to another core needle biospy on my left side which has nothing to do with my fibroademoma that already been diagnosed. This is why I'm so frustrated and confused. You have good memory! But if the hospital said they want me to do the sugerical biospy on my fibroademoma after I actually got my mri result. I was prepared for it. But if they tell me to do another core needle on the other side before I even get the result yet Then no. I'm not trying make a big fuss but I'm just really stressed out and need some help and support
I'm really stress out right now. The hospital makes it like this is really emergency, but I have no choice to turn the appointment down tomorrow as I have no idea what's happening until this Thursday.

I'm sorry fishfish. That's one of the bad things about MRIs. They are really sensitive, but nonspecific, so they lead to lots of biopsies
-
MelissaDallas, like you say if mri is so sensitive and nonspecific. Does it possible that if they find 10 spots do they need take sample for all 10 spots? Now I see some red spots there too, I am freaked out
-
Hi Fishfish. I think you are right to wait. I'd advise you to ask for a copy of the MRI report; you can post it here and DJMammo and other members can help you figure it out. So sorry about the stress.
