In 2017, I was DX with a sebaceous cyst in the areola of my left breast via ultrasound. I had a breast surgeon watch it (appts every few months) to make sure it's not growing or getting infected. In April, he said I didn't have to come back unless I saw a change. A couple days ago in the shower, I noticed a VERY small dimple next to the cyst that I haven't seen before. I mulled it over with my husband and my mom, and decided to call. They want to see me this week.

I just feel very stupid and like I'm annoying. Like I'm seeing things that aren't there. It's so small but I just have this nagging feeling to get it looked at.

Is this stupid? Am I just being a hypochondriac?

No, this is not stupid and you're not being a hypochondriac. The chances that is is breast cancer is low, but any new breast issue should be evaluated. Try to stay off Google--most of what you'll find there will scare you unnecessarily and won't apply to you anyway.

Thanks. It's just so small I'm afraid he's going to be like "wow that's it" but it just looks different to me.
