I need advice.

About 11 months ago my right nipple started hurting and swole up 3 times it's size, I went to my dr had a mammogram and us which were normal. The swelling went down but the areola skin stayed thicker than Normal. In the next months the swelling has come 4 more times with the last 2 instances closer together. I was advised to see a general surgeon for a biopsy I have an appointment Tuesday. I do now have a mass in my nipple but is it just inflammation....i don't know. What I'm afraid of is the surgeon won't feel anything and not want a test. Should I insist? I'm afraid that if nothing is tested this will keep coming back and it will be too late to do anything by the time it's tested. Any advice is appreciated.
