Magnesium levels

Just finished #9 of 12 Taxol infusions, have been having issues with low magnesium levels for some time now. Started out with unexplainable low potassium levels, discovered magnesium was dangerously low, which lead to starting weekly infusions of magnesium along with the Taxol. The doctor is unsure of what is causing the magnesium to run low all the time, even a day after getting an infusion. Curious if anyone has had this issue before, what caused it? What kind of treatment helped? Thank

I assume my magnesium level is alright because my MO hasn't mentioned about it. but my potassium level has been just below the range since the first few taxol infusions. I started eating a banana a day and it seemed to help a bit at that time, but not at the moment of my oral chemo treatment. My MO is not too worried with my low level of potassium and not suggesting any tablets for it because , he said, the level has been stable. He said normally I should take some tablets for it. Hope the levels will improve once you finish the chemo.
