Now, I am wondering what my mammaprint would say. Low Oncotype (12), but High risk BCI. I think I am Luminal A, but Ki67 was 17%. I guess I will leave well enough alone, since I just had 6 month appt. and didn’t think to ask about it. My MO is pretty laid back, so he probably wouldn’t have recommended it.

hi Stacybe- I had grade 3, 1 tiny micromet find under microscope in 1of 3 nodes. And oncotype 29. So because I m 41 I decided to go for TC chemo as it was recommended by director of oncology at mass general !!!

Hi Bostonian - I believe your oncotype of 29 is likely what influenced the oncologist's recommendation for chemotherapy. Also, because you had the mammogram you may not get radiation - while I had a 13, lumpectomy and radiation including nodes, which is why doctors recommended against chemo for me. All the best to you for a smooth treatment!

i also had 2 nodes with micromets at 52 yrs. Had surgery radiation and letrezole. Oncoscore of 15. Chemo not recommended but icould have it if i wanted. Another dr friend pointed out the many risks of chemo. I decided to take my chances considering they are always improving treatments and taking chemo is not a guarantee it wont return.

It returned about 7 years later. A 7cm met to bone. Still no chemo.except ibrance and faslodex. No regrets.

    Best of luck to you

I had a micromet in my SN that showed up in the Path report after my lumpectomy. Oncotype score was 11 so I dodged chemo. I did have 33 radiation treatments. IDC, Stage 1b, Grade 1.7 years out this month.
