Im not from the States so the report is not in english. I will try to translate as best as I can. Any ideas? We will see our doctor tomorrow.

What do you think the treatment plan will look like?

Progesteron %80 (+++)

c erb B2 (-)

Ki67 %10 (+)

p53 %30 (+)

INVASIVE DUCTAL CARCINOMA

Grade II

Thank you for all the replies in advance!

You'll find a lot of women here with similar diagnoses and can usually see from their profile what kind of treatment they're having. Did the report have anything on Her2 status (+ or -)?

It looks like she has got the type of cancer which is easier to treat. Definitively mastectomy or lumpectomy with radiation. Chemo may or may not be recommended, there is a test to determine this, it is called oncotype dx.The surgery may be followed up by one of the medicine to suppress hormones. Best wishes!

    HER2-negative (the C erb B2 result).

Very soon Mama will have a treatment plan, and she and you will feel much better, focused on her treatment, focused on a future with lots of good times ahead.

I expect that her treatment will start with surgery. The Health Care System where you live -- if there is more than one surgery type suitable for an early stage breast cancer case, does it permit patient choice among the suitable surgery types? Does Mama have a preference for one type of surgery?

I'm sorry it isn't the news you were hoping for. As DATNY says, ER+/PR+ HER-2 negative BC is highly treatable and less aggressive than some other types of BC. Hopefully, all your mother will need is some surgery, a hormone inhibitor pill, and possibly radiation. Most people don't need chemo, but of your mother does just know that it's not the end of the world. It's not fun, but it's not awful either.

Thank you so much for all the replies! I feel better most of the time but sometimes it is very upsetting.

We will go see a doctor tomorrow. I am from Turkey. The doctor is a friend of us. I am praying they wont find any spreading. Hoping for the best. We dont care about her breasts to be honest. She is hell of a woman and feels ok with removing her breast. Is it possible to have 2 cm tumor in a late stage? Is having a tumor around this size means its early

Staging is dependent on the tumor size, the involvement of lymph nodes, and any metastatic (to any other part of the body) spread.

A 2cm tumor with no lymph node involvement and no metastases would normally be Stage II but might also be staged down to Stage IB depending on hormone receptor status.

You won't really know final staging until surgery. The tumor size on imaging can be different by several mm than what is actually measured on pathology.

You can read about staging on this page: https://www.breastcancer.org/symptoms/diagnosis/st...

My tumor was 1.9cm, just under the Stage 2 line. Anything Stage 0-IIIA is considered early, I believe.
