Confused by biopsy online results

Hi everyone. I'm sorry that I keep posting silly questions when I don't even have a diagnosis. To recap, I had an abnormal ultrasound, scored BIRAD4, had my biopsy this past Thursday, and was told that I would be called today with my results. The tech specifically said, if you don't get a call Monday, you call US and we will make sure we get them to you asap, no later than Tuesday.

I called twice today since they also shared my doctor would be going out of the country this week- he said he'd give my information to his colleague, another physician. Anyway, I called twice, no call back, which I understand of course. But I just got an email saying that i had new results in my online portal and am now super freaked out.

It gives the description of my biopsy appointment, medical jargon, etc. At the conclusion, it says:

IMPRESSION:

US BREAST BIOPSY LEFT VACUUM completed. Histology is pending.

Follow-up post biopsy as directed by clinician is recommended for left breast ultrasound-guided core biopsy.

I just really don't know how to interpret this-- is this last line telling me that I need to have an in person follow up appointment? Is this being in lieu of a phone call? It was emailed 7:05 PM so I know I can't call their office and just ask directly now. Has anyone else gotten this kind of message via online portal results? It does say Histology pending, so, I'm hoping that I am wildly misinterpreting the "follow-up post biopsy" note.

    OMG mcf89. I had a similar experience. Look at my post Anxious and Confused! I was told similar about a call from them and my doctor. Never happened.I called 3X. No call back. So I called again today and was transferred 7/8 times, literally. They told me Oh no we never call patients back we don't do that. I was like huh. But we have similar things. But check out my post. Ok. I hope that helps.

    Oh I'm saying to check because I don't want to miss something you can ser. Ok. I hope it works out for you. ☺

    Hmmm...that really doesn't say anything. It reads like it's just a note saying "we're waiting for results." Sorry and best wishes while you wait to hear something; it sucks.

    Okay, phew. Thank you both for your notes! I just feel like this completely conflicts with the game plan my doc set up on Thursday, and it sort of sent me into a tizzy.
