Jtoddy, sorry you find yourself here, but it is a great place to find information and support.
Initially, all you can do is take a deep breath and wait for your tests to come back to find out more about your cancer, and how it may be best treated. Once you have a bit more information you will find lots of people in similar situations who can provide heaps of information and support.
For now, you will find lots of threads and relevant articles to read.
All the best for Tuesday, and let us know how you go.
Hugs,
Jackie

Hi Jtoddy,
this is the really scary part, when you know there's a monster but don't know much about it, or how to get rid of it.
I suggest you try to get copies of your pathology reports. You want to know the size of the tumor, hormone receptor status (ER PR HER2), grade, and what clinical signs indicate about lymph nodes.
Then your doctors will prepare a plan of attack. It'll all become more bearable once you have more info and a plan. Stay off google as much as you can & be careful what you read, even on this site. Don't borrow trouble and scare yourself with conditions/treatments etc which might not apply to you.
best wishes! -
Hi
Thank you for your comments. Just been taking everything in these last few days, and informing my children I have 6, they have taken it badly but I have assured them I have a wonderful Dr whom will take care of me.
I'm going into surgery next Friday 20th July the Dr has said he will take the Lump and also some Lymph nodes to test, we spoke about Radiation Therapy and breast removal also reconstruction. I have quite large breasts. My oldest son said to me when I spoke to him about what the Dr said he said Mum that's a really big decision you have to make. My husband of 30yrs and I have spoken about this also. I said to my son(he will be 40yrs old next Feb) I said son I have had you 6 children and you have all made me very proud of the people you have become and the wonderful grandchildren you have all given me. So I have decided My breasts have done their Job with you 6 kids as I breast fed you all for some time I now suffer with Back ache and pain ( I have large breasts) he agreed with that, and if I have both Breasts removed it may save my live and I truly don't need them any more. After a few tears my son as all my other children agree is the best option.
I know this is down the line a bit but I have come to terms with my decision.
I have to see my Heart specialist Friday as I had a major heart attack in January this year 100% blockage and I nearly didn't make it then they said if it want for the quick actions of my husband. The reason for seeing him is I have to come of 2 Blood Thinners I take 1 week be fore surge. Im sure he will give the okay as I've ben doing really well.
I will keep you posted thank you again you are all amazing on this site.
Cheers Julie

Julie, just wanted to chime in and say that you are not alone and can always come here for support. I found it very difficult to share the news with my grown son and daughter also...but, they have been very supportive and played a big part in my emotional and mental recovery. Don't be afraid to lean on them when you need to. It sounds like you have a great medical team taking good care of you. Best wishes moving forward:).
