    Havent been on for awhile. Life is moving along. So good to see so many names here I recognize. Sounds like everyone is doing well overall.

    Im waiting to see my oncologist for regular 6 month appt. Had a follow up CT which showed some new areas (2) of ground glass. They are small on radiated breast side in lung. Hoping that is just post rad side effects. No symptoms but they have been watching a couple of nodules which so far have not changed from the start so I'm hoping I've had these all my life. They were found incidentally. I see her on the 17th. A bit anxious

    Tpralph - I have a lot of lung nodules too. Evidently they are prevalent in my neck of the woods due to a bird virus believe it or not. A radiologist looked st my chest x-ray and said it was normal. My sister had one her doctor said she’s probably had for 20 years. Wouldn’t be surprised if yours have been there a long time too.

    Thanks Diane and 53nancy. I'm mostly worried about the ground glass and hoping it's just from the rads.

    Also upset that they didn't report all nodules each time or perhaps they are missing something

    Tpralph— sendings hugs. Hoping your ground glass is nothing to worry about. Like Diane wrote about, nodes in lungs are common in my area, too. Most people have them, is what i’m told, by my radiologist due to all the farming.

    Will keep you in thoughts and prayers.

    hello everyone from my unexpected hotel room. Yesterday, a/c decided to take a break from the continuous “feels like 108” days. Sigh.

    We called our a/c people yesterday morning as soon as I realized the house was warming. Sigh

    As expected, during a heat wave, they are packed. Said earliest they could be here is Friday. So I played the illness card and asked if it mattered hubby had open heart surgery recently and isn’t supposed to get hot? The guy on the phone said that did make a difference so they would be there yesterday afternoon. Until—- popup thunderstorms. They can’t work on the a/c unit in the rain and lightning.

    Checked hotel prices and found a room that is a king suite with a dinner bar/social hour and breakfast buffet included so we vacationed in our home town last night.

    Hoping to stay in the hotel room until the a/c guy calls to say he is en route. Air conditioning in the hotel room works great!

    While waiting for the a/c people yesterday afternoon, an unknown woman came to the door to see if we were ok because a HUGE limb off the tree out front came crashing down from about 40’ up, missing the house by less than 2 feet. Took out my newly planted, just started blooming lillies though. Really glad it missed the house.

    It was too hot to deal with it yesterday especially with no where to cool down so I am sure it is awaiting our return.

    I am supposed to make a birthday cake for a family birthday tonight. Hoping they can get the a/c running.

    DodgersGirl, take that as a sign from the universe that you should hit that happy hour, move the birthday party to the hotel restaurant, and then watch television in that sweet hotel AC and the bed that someone else will make for you!

    the good news is the a/c fix was quick and not too expensive. A capacitor was out and not the compressor! Air restored with just enough time to bake the cake. When we returned from the birthday celebration, the house had cooled inside by 6 degrees.

    Now to wrestle with that fallen tree limb

    Tomorrow is my colonoscopy so tonight me and the bathroom are best friends. This is my first colonoscopy. Hoping with everything else we have faced this last year, this test will be a piece of cake.

    Good luck with that a Dodgersgirl. I’m getting one soon. Not looking forward to the prep. Like you said the procedure should be easy compared to everything else we’ve been through

    home from colonoscopy.. the prep is the worse part, by far. Procedure was a piece of cake.

    2 small polps found. They were so small that doctor said as long as biopsy shows no pre-cancer, I won’t have to do this again for 10 years

    Dodgersgirl, sorry to hear about your air conditioning issues, and fallen tree limb. No matter what we\re facing healthwise, life still goes and there are things to deal with. Wishing you luck with that, AND that the biopsy is clear. Hugs.

    So true, Nancy. Wouldn't it be great if life could just be on hold while we were going thru treatment? So much to deal with already and then to have everyday life issues on top of it. Sometimes it feels like too much.

    Dodgersgirl, I’m waiting to see results. The initial blood work looked good. Tumor Marker, Iron and TSH aren’t posted yet. So I’m taking it as good news that they didn’t call me today. I’m hoping I’ll get the results tomorrow. Thanks for checking in on me! How are you doing?

    I am doing well thank you.

    The colonoscopy yesterday was the last of the known treatments/procedures that came with the diagnosis. My next MO visit is in Sept and my next visit with the clinical trial nurse is also in Sept. I am enjoying having days off from work this summer that don’t involve chemo!!!

    Thank you for this thread! I just found it even though I finished treatment (Chemo) in July 2017. What really changed my survivorship this past year (and I was a real mess right after treatment--depressed and lethargic) was joining the Livestrong program at my YMCA. It is an exercise program 2X a week for three months and can be as intense as you can handle and a great way to bond with other survivors of any kind of cancer. It was a great experience and got me exercising which made me feel in control of my life even if just a little. I recommend it, if it's offered in your area!

    Found out the blood pressure medication they put me on after my cancer diagnosis has an ingredient in it that can cause cancer. The drug is now on recall. Makes me wonder what else is in the drugs that we take!

    If any of you or your loved ones are on Valsartan, make sure you check with your pharmacist to see if the manufacturer who made yours is on recall. It's apparently world wide recall.

    Legomaster, thanks! I think I remember you from the thread on high oncotypes.

    I am doing well. Doing a friends and family tour on long weekends this summer. So much better than last year! Matter of fact, last year today, I was waking up in the hospital after an ER visit that went south, after my second FAC infusion. So, things are definitely better than last year!
