Have been taking Tamoxifen for 2 years, and now have extreme joint and muscle pain, which I've read, can be a side effect of this drug. I can no longer exercise, getting up out of a chair can be painful, and I can't squat down anymore and get back up with something to push off of. I have always been active, and the only other time this kind of thing happened to me was when I was taking a statin drug. Stopped the drug and the pain stopped (eventually). Any thoughts/recommendations? Tylenol, Aleeve, etc., don't seem to control the pain for more than a couple of hours and I'm getting weary!!

hi savvy secrets! I know exactly the pain you’re talking about. Curcumin supplements can help greatly. Many of us use it for relief. It is not easily absorbed by the body so making sure you’re taking one that’s developed for optimal absorption is important. I use the Solgar brand. I get it at The Vitamin Shoppe retail store or you can get it online at various online stores. The other option would be try switching to an aromatase inhibitor if you’re post menopausal/had your ovaries removed or if premenopausal taking an ovarian suppressant so you can take the aromatase inhibitor. I switched and while I still have some pain it’s minimal in comparison and does not interfere with anything I want to do. Hope you get relief soon!🍀
