Oh wow, Lisa, those butterflies are so beautiful!

I've got everything crossed for a good report for you.

I had a friend break down yesterday and cry on my shoulder, he was just diagnosed with lung cancer. You can all imagine where his head is right now. He still has to go through staging and a biopsy before he will know his treatment ..........I really feel for him.

Busy weekend ahead as it is our town's annual Antiques Fair and the town is already bursting at the seams with visitors. All I can say is roll on Monday morning!

    Love n hugs all. Chrissy

A miracle from acupuncture. Maybe. Knock on wood. I woke up and the pain is gone from my fractured ankle after a year. Now to work on the torn meniscus in my knee. I am amazed as the pain in my ankle has been ACUTE. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Now to figure out what on earth is going on my remaining breast.

Oh great news on the ankle pain, Lisa! Such a relief when you realize pain is gone.

What's going on with your remaining breast? Have you found another lump or such? Sure hope you get some answers soon.

Heading to Adelaide this morning, hubby needs a whole mouth cray for some dental work and I need some sewing supplies.......lol.

    Love n hugs all. Chrissy

Well, there is a filling defect in the milk duck, so I have to see the surgeon..probably an excisional biopsy as I don't do core biopsies anymore..too many false negatives and one that blew up a lump that made it impossible to do a lumpectomy..soooooo

Oh bugger! Do you know when that will be done? Sure hope it turns out to be nothing nasty.......enough is enough already.

Lisa, seems like it's always something.ย  Hope this won't be anything to worry about.ย  I'm in constant afib now and the electrophysiologist wants me to have an AV node ablation, with a pacemaker and destroying the connection between the atrium and ventricle.ย  I have appt for a 2nd opinion, since this a final step procedure.

Wowsa, Kathy! That's huge!! What a worry for you. I think I would be getting a second opinion as well. My brother in law had that same procedure done about two years ago and it has proven to be the best decision he ever made even though it was one of the hardest. Good luck with it all.

It must be something in the air as I have developed a heart malfunction as well......was it something we ate?? So out of breath the minute I start doing anything, even a short slow walk......sigh......right now using nitrolingual spray to see if it's better or not.......got to let the cardiologist know if it's a lot better with, then he says we'll do an angiogram to check for blockage. Not going to get in touch with him until we get back from Nth Queensland at the beginning of next month.

We are going up for two weeks and to attend hubby's nieces wedding. I'm so looking forward to that as I will finally get to meet the five new additions to the family.....woohoo!

    Take care girls!

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

Kathy, I have no idea what you have. I hope you get definitive answers. And Crissy, is this new? Did you have AC Chemo?

  • chrissyb
    chrissyb Member Posts: 16,818

Yes, I had AC and yes, this is newish. I've had the breathlessness for a while now and have been having tests for about six months. First covering lungs and then the heart.

It was discovered that my heart has a disfunctiond that is called a diastolic dysfunction and means that my heart doesn't relax enough to fill properly so under stress, (when active) it causes me to feel breathless. Not a lot can be done to change that part but my cardiologist is just concerned that I may have a blockage hence the use of the nitro before I do anything active to see if that eases it and if so then the angiogram is the next step.

It does make a difference but I'm not telling him until after the wedding......yes, I know, naughty girl but it's only a couple of weeks so no real biggy.....๐Ÿ˜

I'll let you know after I have spoken with him.

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

Well, it turns out the surgeon and rads believe I have a papilloma and are not going to pursue it as it didn't show up on the mammos, or MRI, repeat MRI in one year..sounds good to me

Phew!! Sounds good to me too, Lisa.

A pic of hubby and I all dressed up at my niece's wedding.

We are home now, arrived last night........can I say, it was super nice to sleep in my own bed once again. Not that the beds slept in while we were away weren't comfortable, they were but you all know that there is no bed more comfortable than your own.

I'm missing the extended family but most of us will be together again September 2019 as that is the date set for the bride's elder brother's wedding. Can't wait!

    Stay well all!

a beautiful picture. So peaceful. I am a 71 year old Canadian . Not so sensible at times! It is good to connect with others going through a similar journey. I am still adjusting to side effects of Letrozole ( which so far have been mild) I live with my husband, my biggest support. Our two children live further away. We have five grandchildren . I too have a history of cancer. My maternal g.mother had throat, my mother had stomach, one brother had upper gi, and I am the fifth girl with breast. It is easy to get consumed with anxiety. Totally understandable. But life is precious . Not knowing what is ahead can rob us of today's joys.

Hi Jackie, yes, that's the waistcoat I made for him.....it does do up but he decided to undo it for some reason.....lol. I made all of my outfit as well.......I'm such a funny shape it's hard to buy things that fit properly and are comfortable.

Thanks for your compliment, I sort of forget that not everyone sews. Yes, the very first thing I did was light the fire.....lol.......we were lucky when we got off the plane as it was quite warm in Adelaide but as the sun went down the chill ramped up. Today at home was quite nice but still needed a fire going .... ...now tomorrow is going to be a different ball game....top is supposed to be no more than 13....brrrrr!

Hi Prairietwin2, welcome!! We are not always so sensible either but we don't hold that against anyone.๐Ÿ˜ Wow! You certainly do have a family history of cancer but you are so right when you say life is precious and dwelling on what may come can indeed rob us of the joy of now.

Thank you, I am presuming your comment on the picture was for the one at the top.......it's one of mine, taken five years ago at a place in Queensland, Australia called Ross and Lock. It used to be a wonderful place to swim during the hot summers in the tropics but is now a dangerous place as there have been sightings of salt water crocs there.

What part of Canada are you from?

    Love n hugs all. Chrissy
