I had chemo for the first time on June 4th. I had very bad constipation, and still do, but I've been taking a laxative which has helped a lot.

I went in for blood work on June 12th in the afternoon, one week after chemo, but when I woke up in the morning my back hurt so bad. It was literally throbbing and I could only sit, stand or lay down for a few minutes then have to start all over again. I took some Advil and when I went in for the blood work the pain was almost gone.

I went in for chemo the second time on the 25th and other than constipation I've been doing pretty good.

I finished chemo on May 15th and am currently undergoing radiation. Instead of constipation I had extreme diarrhea and it would make me severely dehydrated. As for the body aches I have them all the time all over. It is difficult to live a normal life with children when even getting up from a chair is uncomfortable. My only hope is to stay positive and pray that this too shall pass soon! Good luck ladies!

Constipation is a very common problem with Chemo. We are prescribed stool softeners and other motility drugs here. Be sure to take them and drink as much water as possible. I was ok with radiation, not back pains or any other, so I can't help there, but I'm sure your MO and RO can prescribe some pain meds until it gets better.
