Worried and scared wondering if it is IBC?

Ok so I am a 50 year old woman and I am overweight. About 3 weeks ago I got a pain in my right breast when I moved. Then it stated to get pinkish on the top12oclock. Then within a few days i had a massive mass the size of my hand that went down around my areola to about 9oclock and it was painful when touched or if my breast brushed against anything. I went to the Dr two weeks ago and we scheduled a bilateral diagnostic Mammogram and a Breast Ultrasound. I go Monday. Since then though the mass has shrunk it is at about 9oclock not red anymore but it the skin is peeling. It is not really tender anymore either. Please help me understand has anyone had any similar situation?

IBC progresses rapidly, in days, if not hours. It wouldn't shrink and not be red any more

If it’s shrunk and not red any more, it’s not IBC
