I had lumpectomy surgery 6/26. I've just been chilling. I'll go back to work Monday as I don't have a desk job, and my surgery was on my dominant side. I was told not to lift my surgery side arm above my head or lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk until my recheck next Friday. Except for my throat killing me from being intubated, I've been relatively comfortable. The sentinel nodes were taken from the lumpectomy incision which means a little less trauma for me than many.

I'd grab a book and stay on the couch.

grab a book and stay on the couch. Baby yourself- cancer is exhausting.

Do move as you can - walking is great. Stay hydrated, get rest, and take your time getting back to your old routine

still feeling out of sorts not sure what to do. Kind of in a weird limbo

Still sore and swollen. Definitely in a funk.

It will take time to feel better, I was in a lot of pain that first week and didn't do much but rest. When is your surgery follow up?

my follow up is Friday. I guess I didn't expect to be this uncomfortable. Definitely wasn't prepared for what my breast looks like. I am sure everyone can agree that being a mom it's hard to just sit back and take care of me.
