hi I'm 52 been having regular mammogram for several years now I have missed the last two years and when I went for one two weeks ago I had a call back

I returned yesterday for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. Radiologist said it wasn't a cyst and sending me for a biopsy

When I got the report it says a 1 cm solid hypoechoic mass with irregular microlobulated margin and peripheral color

Yes, about 80%+ of BIRADS4 will be benign, so chances are still pretty good that this will turn out well for you. Of course, final pathology tells the tale. Im sure the wait is maddening. Try to keep busy. Hopefully you'll have somevanswers aoon.

I know. Its hard not to google when yiure scared. But just understand that Google is going to bring up all kinds of bad stuff and much of it will not even apply to your situation. Just remember, it's not your job to figure this out. Your doctors have studied 8-10 years to come up with answers for you. Answers take time, so try to keep your hands and mind busy. Good luck to you!
