Same for me, Patty - maybe a '56 Chevy?? Sounds like a lot of fun! What a great parade we could have!
Maybe you could wrap up your port and IV in a baggie and tape it really tight? Or just go in to just below the port? I sure hope you figure out a way to enjoy the water.
Loved the pink hair and what a handsome son!! It's obvious that you are so proud of him and I don't blame you!
Sending gentle hugs to surround you.

Here's one for sale that would hold a party complete with heart shaped hot tub.

What a fantastic group of ladies. This is so much fun.
Patty the pool sounds so inviting, i haven't seen one around the city in quite a while. But just be careful, infection etc...maybe if you could ask a nice nurse for advise?
-
Patty, I hope you had a great 👍🏻 day today. Nurse might have some ideas for the port.
Choir rehearsal was lovely tonight. We begin and end every rehearsal with prayers. I keep you lifted in my prayers. 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 🙏🏻
Much love, ❤️💕 💗

good morning. Slept well. Woke at 3am. Almost every day I do. It must be my golden hour. Took pain meds andback to sleep til 7am. Feeling very nauseated and lots of pain. Med equipment and Hospice nurse will be here sometime today. To change out pan pump bag. Terrified of running out and excruciating pain
Have a great day all

Patty great that you got some much needed sleep at least. Patty where is your worst pain at? What pain meds are they giving you? Dilaudid? Hopefully the nurse will come early and help you out. Hootie Hoo

love you patty.

Hello Patty,
So glad to hear you slept well.
Can you ask your nurse about feeling very nauseated, and what to do about lots of pain, and/or possibility of pump bag running out? Also ask about numbers to call during non-business hours.
Hospice around here had 24/7 coverage, usually a covering nurse or a group supervisor.
Are you alone or is someone staying with you now? Some hospice groups also provide home health aides (help you with ADLs as needed) and volunteers (for errands or company) if you want.
Sending love,
Madelyn

Patty, beach therapy!!!

I just got back from beach therapy...had you in my pocket the whole time! I hope you are getting good rest and you are pain free. How did the swimming go? Hugs and loves ❤️

Hey Patty,
You've been on my mind for weeks. I am so glad you have been able to be at home spending this time with your boys. I hope your pain is under control, and you are out riding in that convertible.
You can ask about Tegederm to cover your port, etc if you want to go for a swim. I can't use it, but i have friends that have for deep wounds, tattoos, etc, to protect from water. It is pretty amazing stuff.
I'm lucky enough to be able to swim in this pool- fresh springs that stay at 68 degrees year round. It's magical on a 104 degree day! When I was there yesterday, I sent love and watery wishes to you. Few things are as healing to the soul as a good swim.

jwoo, where is this pool? In San Marcos or Austin
-
-
I think the pool is Barton Springs in Austin.
