Tumor markers
Hi, I am a nine year cancer survivor. I stil take Femara because they say 10 years is better than 5 for a reacourance. Just had my oncology appt. My doctor still runs tumor markers. Mine came back slightly elevated. They were 43.8.Now they want me to have a CT scan and a bone scan. Has anyone out there experienced something similar with Tumor markers going up?

Mine does not draw tumor markers because he says any inflammation can cause them to rise. Hoping that is the reason for yours. Keep us posted

Mine have gone up/ down. My onc watches for a trend. Fingers crossed

MB, I had a slight elevation a few months ago. Will see my Onc next week for another draw. I think the cut off is 40, so anything over that, they probably want to check. ugh. Mine was 45 last time. I have arthritis and seasonal allergies, so I am praying that's all it is. I may have to do scans here soon, also. Best wishes for clean scans!
