I'm 17 years old, I noticed some symptoms of breast cancer but I have not gone to the hospital. I need help I don't know how to tell my mom or family that I might be sick. I'm scared.

Dani, what symptoms are you having? You have to let them know what is going on just like you would with any other illness. Breast cancer in teens is extremely rare and many breast cancer symptoms can have other causes.

Dani, do you have a doctor or gynecologist you can go to?

It may be helpful to know that breast cancer is exceedingly rare in teens.

    Hi Dani,

We're really sorry to hear that you've been having some breast worries. As members above have mentioned, it is extremely rare for someone so young to have BC.

We suggest that you talk to your mom or a trusted adult and maybe book an appointment to see your doctor. We're also adding a link here for you with information for teens who are worried about breast cancer that you may find helpful.
