Follow Up Monitoring

Hello. I have been cancer free (I think) for bout 16 years but dont feel that i am being monitored for recurrences.

I was just wondering how other people's doctors are monitoring them . Are there blood tests, markers etc. . ? What routine tests do you have done.?

    Hi there. You did not make your stats public so I don't know your situation. However, early stage BC is usually not monitored closely. The standard rule is if you have a new symptom for more than 2 weeks get it checked out. Higher stages are monitored more closely.There are tumor markers they can check in the blood and also PET scans. Good luck and keep us posted.
