No oncotype testing - frustrated

I was dx with IDC (ER+,PR+, HER-) 4/9, lumpectomy 5/30, no nodes involved and pathology showed DCIS also, Total size 5mm (Grade 1, stage 1). My surgeon did not submit for Oncotype testing as she felt it was not necessary given the size of cancer. She indicated it would be up to the MO. However, I cannot get an appt with the MO until 7/2. I met with the RO today for initial consult and they don't want to proceed until the MO is comfortable with no chemo. I understand that but am frustrated that again I am still waiting to see if I need chemo when my surgeon said it was not necessary. Like all of you, the path to treatment is long and frustrating but just looking for some opinions/guidance.

Thanks!!

At that size and grade I don't think you would have an oncodx test. You can call them because I know your cancer has to be bigger than a certain size before they can test it.

Also since it has already been 2 months from surgery you would be at the very end of chemo effectiveness by the time you got the results.
