Scanxiety rearing its ugly head
Facing new scans on Tuesday. I’ve been through this drill a few times so I know what to expect.. but doesn’t help that “my stomach is in knots, my head is pounding and I want to hurl” feeling. Thinking of all of my be sisters and brothers facing scans this week

thinking of you as well. I know exactly how you feel and think of all of your bc sisters in your pocket for support. Just take one breath at a time. I wish you nothing but the best. Sending warm loving hugs of support! Much love ~M~

Hang in there! After five yeas of this I've become sort of numb to scanxiety but it is a real thing.
Deep breath. Chocolate (the cure for whatever ails you)! Glass of wine. Maybe with the chocolate.

waiting on scan results is so hard. Half of me always wanted to know ASAP but the other half was scared of the results. Keeping you in my thoughts finalloverit

I really suffer with scanxiety! I told my onc from the beginning that while I handle most things well, scans cause me a lot of anxiety. I schedule my scans for early morning and she always calls me the same day with the results. Occasionally she ill call me the next day but never any longer then that.

Thanks, ladies. My family doesn’t get it.. so grateful I have all of you. Thinking and sending good thoughts to all

Finally, hope all goes well. Thoughts with you today.

Did someone say wine? And chocolate?
Good luck!

Thinking of you today - let us know how they come out!
I'm right there with you - I have my PET-CT scan on Friday. It's been a year since the last one. I think it's the longest I've gone between scans. I'm trying to stay positive, and things have been pretty stable so far, but there's always that nagging fear that this will be the time things change. Faslodex/Ibrance is a pretty doable tx plan, so I'm hoping to stay on it for awhile!

Thanks again, everyone. They are done, now the wait begins. I honestly don’t know if I even want to know the results. I think I’m content with burying my head in the sand. No one else can understand this feeling until you’ve been in these shoes

Just received word- all is fine. Now to exhale and live until the next set in 4 months. Thanks again for all of your understanding. You are truly the only ones who “get” it
-
Finally over it, congrats on good scans. Believe me when I tel you that I get it. To me, the anxiety over the scans is horrendous. Thank goodness my onc usually calls me with the results the same day/

I'm so glad to hear that the results were good! And yes, like you said, now you can breathe again!
I definitely get it! I'm hoping that mine go as well tomorrow! I usually have them in the morning and often know later that day, but with Friday afternoon scans, I might not get the results until Monday : ( I"m glad I have a busy weekend!

i am so happy everything is fine. I know it is so hard waiting for those results!😀
