Hello all, my name is Rose. I turned 50 in April and have stage 2 breast cancer. DCIS and idc. Got my malignant diagnosis on May 11th. Had a Lumpectomy and 2 lymph nodes removed on 5-30-18. Invasive tumor was 1.5 cm. Both nodes were positive for cancer, so next step is a cat scan to make sure it hasn't spread anywhere else and then begin chemo. Just writing all this down gives me the willies, but this is my new reality. Before my 2nd mammogram in April, I had no idea anything was even wrong. I'd been told after my 1st mammogram, something 'suspicious' had been found. Biopsy was done on May 7. I hope my cat scan will be ok

Rose, I went through the exact same thing in March and April. My nodes were not positive so I am doing radiation now, and after, hormonal therapy. I know this is so scary and you are doing everything you can to understand the situation. You are right. It is our new reality. Sending prayers your way for good news from the cat scan. Good luck and we are here for you.

I was in my best physical health and pow. I didn't notice anything neither did my doctor. My previous mammogram was fine then at age 53 the mammogram found 2 tumors that showed up since the previous yesr. Mine were ilc and idc each one centimeter. No nodes. It is shocking to say the least.

My mammo was clean and sono the radiologist just thought it was my own breast tissue. Turned out to be BC.

You will get through this. Positive thoughts your way. This time next year you will be saying the same to someone else.

I have been treated for skin cancer for a few years. My left breast last year had a suspicious spot that was removed. It turned out to be benign. No bc tumors present at that time. Then early this year, I felt 3 tumors. It all happened very fast it seems. My doctor says I have a very fast growing cancer. I had breast cancer 20 years ago as well. It seems I am a cancer machine

Rose, I had two positive nodes and CT scanned showed no spread. My doctor warned me that CT scans show lots of things that are generally benign so don't freak out.

thank you I dont even know what to ask. I have a close friend that went through it and she did a lot of research I am just numb but Ill get to work today.

Im waiting to get an sppointment with surgeon and cancer specialist.

I did ask for a copy of my core biopsy results from both the breast and the lymph.

Invasive Duct Carcinoma MBR grade II metastatic

      The actual tumor measures 1.4mm

It seems they are still running IHC tests E-cadherin and CD31

and they also ordered ER / PR analysis

I dont have any of these results

Thank you so much! Still playing the waiting game here. Waiting to hear from my doctor's office about when I can get a cat scan. Called Monday and was told they'll let me know as soon as my insurance approves it..grr Patience has never been one of my virtues. Lol

The treadmill has been my faithful friend in helping to keep me sane through all this. I always feel better after my 3 miles on it,almost every day. Physically I'm feeling great, just ready to get to the next step and get that dang scan over with.

Already got a few pretty beanie caps for when I lose my hair. Took 2 days to get them out of my mailbox, but I got er done eventually :-)

Rose I had 1 positive lymph node, a 2.8 cm tumor and LVI - meh. My doctor ordered a pet/ct scan. I was so nervous about that test, but happy to get that thing over with. It is scary. Mine came back fine although I learned a few things that I didn't need to know ha ha. Hoping your's comes back fine too. Hugs to you
