Hello everyone. I found a lump about a month ago, it took me until 6/11/2018 to call me doctor...she saw me on the 13th. While she did the exam you noted the lump I found and indeed felt the lump...while REALLY feeling in there she felt 3 others. She sent me down for a mammogram and an ultrasound ( ultrasound of just my right breast). I received the call today that they found nothing...didn't even see the lumps. Now I do have some density in both breast but I'm confused. Should I see a specialist since there's obviously lumps but they don't show up on imaging?? She's thinking maybe Fibrous....so does that not show up?? Anyone else have the same thing happening...I'm just concerned. You think positive but I have thought about the what if's...I'm only 39 and I have 3 children, one is 20 but my youngest two are 9 & 10? Any advise is welcome

    Dear buckley78,

Welcome to the community. We are sorry that these breast changes brought you here but glad that you reached out. While you are waiting for others to respond you may want to check out this topic that relates to questions about imaging. There may be some help there. The Mods

lbuckley78, This happened to me. I've had a grape sized and growing lump that doesn't show up on mammo or us. Radiologist says it's fatty tissue, sure hope she's right...

It is unnerving, I know how you feel. You could always ask for a biopsy. Just to answer your question, it does happen.:)
