21 and worried about BC/IBC

Hi all!

This is my first time posting here and it's great that there's such a strong community here!

A few days ago, while I was on my period, I noticed that my right breast was very tender. I then noticed that there was a faint pink spot (like the size of a penny) right on top of my areola. It's been two days and the spot is still there although it is not as tender. That spot is still there today and if I touch it too much the areola( right under it) skin bunches up a bit. Other than that nothing else looks abnormal. I should also note that I have a very irregular period and I dont know if this is hormonal?

I'm incredibly nervous and don't know what to do...

    Doesn't sound like cancer but see your doctor anyways. IBC would show up as growing, not being stable....sometimes within hours. At 21 you have a very low risk but it isn't impossible. Could be a cyst. Irregular periods are a common thing, especially at your age. Mine didn't become regular until a few years before menopause....go figure. Anyways, glad to see you are keeping track of the health of your breast and always remember...see your doctor for any change that makes you nervous.
