Headache, body aches, chills - Tamoxifen???

I have been on Tamoxifen for about 4 months. For the last few days I have been experiencing terrible headaches, and overall aches on my body, particularly back and legs. It has been very hard to go about my daily activities. The chills usually start at night. Taking ibuprofen has not helped. Are these symptoms side effects of the Tamoxifen? or should Ibe concerned about something else? My oncologist is at the MSKCC. I’m waiting to hear back from her. But wanted get your thoughts. TIA

That sounds like the flu, not like Tamoxifen side effects. You may want to call your general practitioner for an opinion.

Thanks @ksusan, thought about that too. But no cold or fever, so do not think it is the flu

Do the chills alternate with flushes?

I don't know, that combination of symptoms hanging on and not responding to a painkiller, I would go get evaluated just for piece of mind.

Thank you @gb2115. You are right. I absolutely hate to go for evaluations and then waiting for results, but I am planning to do that no later than next week if these symptoms continue.
