I was diagnosed with what my doctor then called caffeine cysts many years ago and was told lay off the soda. I havent and I hate to say it I'm a soda junkie. I recently told a new doctor and he laughed saying I never learned that one in medical school the term caffeine cyst but he didn't do anything either. Quick history, in my late 20s I had a lump high in my breast, my upper chest that just appeared overnight. Went in, doc tried to aspirate in his office and nothing came out. Since then I can squeeze my breast and get yellowish discharge from I'm assuming the cyst. Jump forward to my 40s, I'm 44 now. The same spot where this so called caffeine cyst showed up, still there, its been very tender the last week or two. It is deep so have a hard time feeling the margins but I'm guessing it's an inch in size all the way around. Still can squeeze nipple on both breast and get yellowish discharge. My right breast where this lump is expels more discharge than my left breast. I apologize I'm not trying to be gross just accurate. I had a mammogram when a mobile mammogram bus came to our work but that was 4 years ago and they gave me the all clear. Just worried about the tenderness, discharge, all these symptoms over the years, and being able to get a straight answer from a doctor.

Time for a mammogram and maybe ultrasound if you haven't had one in four years. A cyst would be very identifiable on ultrasound and could be aspirated if it is painful. You should mention your discharge. I don't know anyone who has gotten much relief from cysts by cutting back on caffeine, and caffeine is not what causes them
